This is the national Women's chess championship.

The last Canadian Women's Closed (as it is also known) was held in 2001, and the next previous one was in 1996.

Many of the same players that competed in these ones are back again with some new faces added in.

It has been an exciting time at Tartu College. We now have a new Women's Chess Champion!

Dinara Khaziyeva from Montreal is the new Canadian Women's Champion!

Stay tuned to this site, we should have games and pictures posted within the next few days.
