If you are interested in a Chess 'n Soccer day camp, one is
being run in August (23-27) at the Breslau Recreation Centre:

Starting again in September, the club will be open as follows:
Every Sunday at Kitchener City Hall (except for Tournament
days below)
1:00 pm to 4:00 pm - drop in and play some games
Casual chess play
Contests, Puzzles
Learn to play with others at your same level
Good place to just practice and have fun playing the Remarkable game of Chess!

Play in sections according to level and ability
Trophies for section winners

12:30 pm - Registration
1:00 pm - short "warm-up" lesson
1:15 - 1:30 pm - round 1 begins
(approx.) 4:30 pm - Awards

Each tournament starts at 12:30 pm with Registration
A short "warm-up" lesson follows registration
Each player usually plays 5 games
Awards presentations finish the tournament up.
Tournaments are rated with a national rating system which you can watch as you develop your chess skills.
Entry is $15 and includes a Puzzle Pack and rating fees. Second or third siblings get in for half price.
