The Waterloo Chess Challenge qualifies some of our youth to the Ontario Provincial Chess Challenge, which in turn will take the winner from each grade-section to the Canadian Chess Challenge as the Ontario team to compete against the other provincial teams.

Grades K - 8

This tournament took place on Thursday March 29, 2012 at the Breslau Community Centre!

Our approximate schedule was:

Arrival / Check In 8:30 - 9:00 am
Opening remarks 9:30 am
Round 1 10:00 am
Round 2 11:00 am
Round 3 12:00 pm
Round 4 1:00 pm
Round 5 2:00 pm
Awards 2:30 - 3:00 pm
Departure 3:30 pm
Note that we will be attempting to shorten rounds
where available in order to try to allow more time
for lunch and playoffs.

(Andover is a new street in a new subdivision and may not show on GPS units, instead put in Elroy and turn onto Andover instead of Elroy)
